Every time I launch Brave, it is running at 100% CPU utilization.
Killing all tabs does not help. The main process is perpetually at 100% CPU utilization.
Using latest version.
What do you see with respect to resource usage when you launch/run another browser and/or application?
I generally do not have problems with other software, but I have been noticing this issue with Brave for at least a few weeks.
Shortly after posting this, I attached to the process with strace to see what it was doing and it suddenly stopped. Prior to that I had restarted Brave 3x and the issue persisted.
I’m sure it will be back soon…
Can you try disabling Graphics Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?
