Description of the issue:
When scrolling up to reveal the toolbar, the URL address bar briefly displays the URL from a different, recently-viewed tab for a fraction of a second before correcting itself to show the URL of the current page. This issue doesn’t always happen during normal use, but it can be reliably reproduced by following a specific sequence of steps.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- For a clean start, clear all Brave browser data.
- Open Brave and navigate to reddit.com.
- Open a new tab and navigate to brave.com.
- Force-close Brave from the Android task manager (swipe up).
- Turn off your internet connection (e.g., Wi-Fi or mobile data).
- Relaunch Brave. The browser will attempt to load brave.com but will fail, and a “No internet connection” banner will appear above the address bar.
- As soon as the “No internet connection” banner appears, re-enable your internet connection. Immediately after, while the banner is still visible, tap on the “Tabs” button and wait on the tab list screen until the banner changes to “Back online”.
- As soon as the “Back online” banner appears, quickly switch to the first tab (reddit.com).
- After reddit.com loads, scroll down to hide the toolbar, then scroll back up. The toolbar will briefly show the brave.com URL before updating to reddit.com.
Expected result:
When scrolling up to reveal the toolbar, the address bar should immediately and correctly display the URL of the active, current tab without any intermediate flashes of a different URL.
