Allow Brave users to link to their own wallet address as an alternative to Uphold? Uphold executive accused of fraud

But it is of no use that uphold and gemini may be great and reputable companies if they do not want to or cannot offer their services in a number of countries. There must be a solution for each country. We in Germany have been waiting for over a year.

Any link to this uphold info?

Gemini is not available in Germany and I closed my uphold account, last year. On March 31. the EU parliament voted in favour to outlaw anonymous crypto currency transactions. Including things like selfhosted wallets . There are about 15 Bat sitting in my browser but I can’t do anything with it because i can’t verify the wallet sitting in the very same browser . Now with the EU legislation brave wallet seems to be useless in the EU An Option like a charity pot where I could just dump those Bat in would be something useful

Yeah, Uphold are not open for sign up nowadays for Philippines. And for Gemini its hard to get verified.

I understand this is an older comment, but I swear it’s like you’re talking about a completely different exchange. I’ve been using uphold since I joined brave about a year and a half ago, and while it is easy to use, it’s way too expensive and withdrawal fees out of this world. I can’t stand uphold, and the only reason I use it is because I have money in there. I would take it out, but the last time I took money out it cost me two-thirds of what I was pulling out. Uphold is terrible and I’ll be glad when it’s gone. And you say you’ve been using another wallet all this time? I’ve been looking and hoping for an opportunity to use anything other than but that’s where my BAT goes when brave let’s go of it and there’s nothing I can do about it yet. Now I see this Gemini option popping up on the beta, but at this point in time not only can I not choose to verify Gemini instead of uphold, I can’t even verify uphold anymore. I’m just watching my bat stack and grow in brave rewards and wondering if I’m ever going to see it in my possession.bMaybe I’ll luck out and itll jump up to 300 bucks a bat… Probably just wishful thinking but it is what it is.

The problem is that uphold tied up all the coins that would be cheap or quick to withdraw because they like being able to charge $3 per withdrawal. Minimum. XLM is a tier 3 coin? My asp. They call it slippage and claim that they don’t charge any fees on accounts that are active. I think it’s weird how every single coin slips $3 or $4 plus a few tenths of a percent. I think uphold is a racket. They tell you in the trade preview when you’re just converting from one coin to another that the price is zero, no fees no anything, cost $0.00 and they tell you at the bottom of the screen how much you should be getting back. If you do the math they’ve already charged, and then they charge again. Even on 45 cent trades I’m still losing three or four pennies per trade. As far as I am concerned it’s theft. Even if it’s only a couple pennies at a time, it’s call embezzlement, and they do it in every transaction.
