I’m using 1.48.158 latest Chromium version of Brave with Ventura, and with the last Brave update, the screenshot preview feature taken from Mac OSX doesn’t work.
Today, Brave show the screenshot like “Preview doesn’t available”
And before update
Could you try in a private window?
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Could you kindly use guest mode to see if the issue persist?
You can open a
Guest Window by going to
Main menu →
Open Guest window
If that works try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.
- On your computer, open Brave.
- At the top right, click
More tools →
- On to the extension you want to remove, click
- Confirm by clicking
At last, try to use other chromium browsers to see if the issue persist.
Be waiting for your response!
I’m use a regular window
I mean try the same in a private window and tell us what happens.
By private window I mean a private tab in brave.
Currently i don’t have any extensions installed.
i tried to follow your steps, but unfortunately has the same result.
I’ve reinstall Brave, deleting all files associated.
On Chrome everything is fine with WhatsApp Web. I’ve an M1 MBP so i can’t install any other Chromium browser based App (Like Chromium native or Duck Duck Go)
i tried but has the same result.
It’s so frustrating
I’ve got a “solution”
On Mac OS, Finder hide by default extensions of a file and see them like this.
So, if i could like to take a screenshot using shortcut command+shift+3, the screenshot save it with hidden extension, as you see.
Then, i go to Finder Options, and disable “Hide Extensions” and voila, everything goes fine.
Maybe is some security issue or feature to avoid see any files without any extensions or something like that.
