There is any way to adjust the size or move to centre position the top sites icons?

Well, I don’t think you can edit the image size itself to make it smaller. If you go to brave://settings/appearance, you can play with the font size, customize font size, and zoom settings. Just make sure you save the default settings somewhere in case you want to change just these settings back to the original.
AFAIK you can’t change the position. You can move them around in their current position, but there is no “left, right, center” group option.
