How to update to the version that you refer as a pre-release?
You manually download it by going to the link
Why does that have to be the way other than the normal update routine?
Because it is prerelease but you could wait till 20th of August and get it the Normal way

So a pre-release version has passed the Beta stage and awaiting the release date.
