Additional Information:
You can’t, at least not at this time. It’s been a requested thing for a while and may eventually land on Android. But for now, Android is the only OS not able to add favorites. Instead you’re just stuck with Top Sites which places what websites you visit the most on top.
Wish there was a better answer, but they never do seem able to give a timeline for it. A couple years ago they made it sound like it was right around the corner…but we see how that’s gone.
@Mattches think you can try to poke around and see if you can get any more updates on this?
Ah, OK thanks…at least that explains why I cant do it
I thought I could build up a list of sites visited and then stop further sites being added so they they remained as a sort of favourites list but when I turned it off they all disappeared
Yeah, unfortunately it’s more of an inherited thing. I was looking at Chrome doesn’t allow for favorites yet either. So it seems Brave is just piggy backing on that and not doing the heavy lifting themselves to design and introduce the functionality.
Long ago it used to be possible to edit things like brave://site-engagement/
but I just was toying with it and it seems that’s not where it’s fetching the data…or I’m missing something.
brave://ntp-tiles-internals/
also has information but I wasn’t seeing anything we can edit when I just played with it on my Android. So I’m not quite sure how a person can get around it. For now, just seems to go by the amount of times we visit the site and how much time spent overall. And if we remove an entry, not sure if it ever comes back.
