Same problem as reported by someone else here:

Brave on macos Version 1.68.137 Chromium: 127.0.6533.100 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Problem does not manifest itself if Brave is running in incognito mode.

Attempted steps for solutioning: cleared cookies and modified exit points using a VPN, to no avail.
