Low monthly payout

@ptpck29 You can disagree or argue as much as you want, facts are facts. We have NEVER been paid for clicking on ads. You can even see this at the official page at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026361072-Brave-Ads-FAQ where they emphasize: You are rewarded for merely having a Brave Ad appear on your screen.

Or if you don’t like that, there’s https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/14648356808845-Do-you-need-to-click-on-Brave-Ads-to-earn-BAT

I will say they have changed the phrasing. If you look back at my post at Does clicking on ads pay more? where I quoted from, it used to say:

Brave does not reward users for clicking on the notifications. Brave’s position is that users should only click on ads that they have a genuine interest in engaging with.

So it’s interesting they removed that part. But still holds true they aren’t paying us for clicking on ad notifications and all. Perhaps they rephrased because of adding all the offers into Rewards?

No you don’t. In the past they had estimated earnings and this would adjust for each ad that displayed. No clicking was necessary, just would update as it refreshed the ads viewed. You perhaps just were more attentive when clicking and thought it was causing it to increase, but it’s never been the case.

They got rid of estimated earnings back in November 2024, so we no longer see any projected payout at all. This hasn’t been available to us for all of 2025.

I take it you didn’t look at the article I linked you to? I talked about how different months and different years had quite different payouts. It discussed how it works and highlighted how ad sales have kind of been trash lately.

In addition, it also shared how we don’t get paid for House Ads anymore. We used to get paid for all ads, even those advertising Brave products. But now those pay nothing.

For many people, House Ads were making up 50% or more of the ads we saw and were earning from. So when they stopped paying for those at the end of last year, we all saw a drop in earnings.

And now if you missed it, there’s another announcement saying they are stopping ads in Brave News, so if someone was actively using those then that will be another decrease in earnings.

Rewards is starting to move to them trying to do partnerships and Web3 stuff more than ads. Hence why we see things like below on it:
