How do I unlock Brave History in macOS Mojave?

I want to use DB Browser for SQL Lite to view the Brave history. The DB Browser says that the file is locked. How do I unlock the file?

Using macOS Mojave.

is brave running while you are trying?
if so try with it not running.
could be a permissions issue too.

I turned off Brave and now I can access the database. I have two primary groups in the list: tables and indices.

I’ve not used something like this before, so how (or is it possible) to get a useable list of browsing history that I can export?
