History deleted on exit (without setting) — is this event logged?

Description of the issue: My history seems to have been deleted on exit. I never set the setting. I closed all tabs, then quit and restarted. History (the normal, Chrome-set 3 month rolling deletion) was all gone.

Is the event of deleting history, or deleting history on exit logged?

I want to understand why it happened. I want to blame a:

  • browser version upgrade,
  • sync malfunction, or
  • extension (although they don’t have permission to operate on about:.../brave://... pages, maybe via API).

These are silly, but I feel like I’ve had a lobotomy having to remember and reinvent part of my browser usage.

How can this issue be reproduced? I don’t know.
