I downloaded the browser yesterday and attempted to open it up and all I keep getting is a message saying Brave browser no mountable system. Tried multiple times

The error you’re reporting sounds like you have a corrupt or damaged DMG.
yes that is where I downloaded from
This computer is a 2014. Mine died and I had to switch my harddrive into this one. Is it possible that the new DMG which is required for the Brave will not run on this computer because of the older OS running IMG? I cannot see any of my photos or use Photos because all my photos were on a newer OS. I cannpt go past Big Sur on this one.
I’m going to tag @Mattches and hope he can follow up as this is more up his realm of expertise.

What is the exact macOS version you’re using at this time?
Big Sur 11.7.10 which I believe is the lastest this mac can do

Should still be supported. Can you try downloading the .dmg found on our Github here and see if this makes any difference?
