Brave nightly crashes upon launch

I recently downloaded Brave Nightly in order to gain access to the Sync feature. The app loaded and runs just fine on my MacBook Pro, but crashes upon launch on my iMac. Both computers are running macOS Catalina (10.5.5).

This issue has been on these boards without answers before. Can anyone assist?

FWIW, the regular Brave browser (1.10.93) works just fine.

Same is happening to me. Crash pasted below. It’s somehow related to the user/permissions used when launching the app. e.g. when I launch via sudo, it works fine. Also, when I switch users on the mac to the original admin of the system, it also works fine.
