Brave is very laggy after update and thats sus so can someone plz help me

So basically this thing popped up and before this my brave browser was running smoothly no lag no none of that but the thing is when I clicked the update brave relaunch thing that’s when it became laggy and I’m thinking about leaving brave browser because of this update.
