Brave browser installing apps from unknown sources when its turned off

Hey i I turned on install app from unknown source to install an app and then turned the setting off. However brave browser is still able to install apps from unknown source. I’ve checked and the setting is off. Ive tried restarting my phone and clearing cache but its still able to install them.

does anyone know how I can stop this?

Are you referring to the setting on the Android system or are you referring to a Setting in the Brave app?
