Description of the issue: How can this issue be reproduced?
In the Brave search bar, type successive backticks. They will render correctly by the search engine once submitted, but the backticks display incorrectly in the search bar.
Expected result:
Like in other browsers, the backticks should show side-by-side and display horizontally just as other characters do.
Brave Version:
Version 1.35.101 Chromium: 98.0.4758.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) This also has been an issue I noticed in at least the last two builds.
Additional Information:
The backticks act as if they are a zero-width character and they stack up upon one another unless intentionally spacing them out.
Also, I cannot seem to change fonts via the Customize fonts option.

Yes, I don’t experience this problem on other operating systems, just Windows.

I’ve reinstalled Windows 11 with the Microsoft ISO image and the former issue is gone.
