Description of the issue:
A few days back, possibly a week, the videos on the youtube home page have reduced in size by about half. (this includes the title as well) Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Expected result: Browser size is the same in all screenshots
Image of youtube home page as its loading in, the previous and expected size of videos are shown as silhouettes by youtube themselves
image of youtube home page on a different browser (it looks like this on all other browsers ive tested, edge, chrome, firefox, opera) The video sizes on this is what is expected
@kuudora,
The panel on the left seems smaller as well — can you confirm whether or not you’ve simply zoomed in on the page? You can check by visiting Youtube.com, letting the page load, then checking the main menu and confirming that the Zoom value is set to 100%.
Thanks for mentioning that, I completely forgot to say that in the post. I am using zoom 90% most of the time and did also test putting zoom back to 100% which did unfortunately not restore the old size.
Here is a screenshot of the regular 100% zoom on brave
In that case I’m actually not sure what’s going on here. I am curious if you try visiting Youtube in a Private window, do you still see the same issue?
From this information I made up the conclusion that it would be a youtube issue that is causing this. So what I did was log into a different account on brave and the videos returned to their original size. I even logged into the same account that was previously on brave on another browser to really make sure and the videos were smaller on the other browser.
From this I can confidentially say it’s an issue with my youtube account and not Brave.
I will take this to youtube now instead, thanks for helping me narrow it down to this.
