My Chromebook has stopped brave browser from downloading and the screen goes blank, where it has to be turned off by rebooting the Chromebook

Is this a personal Chromebook or one you have for work/school? Are you downloading Brave from the app store or from the website? Note that Chromebooks should be using the app store version of the browser.
