Linux Brave tab and address bar font

Description of the issue:

I’m unable to configure the font used by Brave on Linux for the tab title and address bar

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install latest Brave on Artix Linux via yay brave-bin
  2. Change fonts via Appearance settings
  3. Tab and address bar remain on default font (librewolf uses the same one by default, so I’m guessing it’s a system thing)

Expected result:

Fonts selected in Appearance settings change the font used (and ideally the size) of text used for tabs and address bar

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.47.186 Chromium: 109.0.5414.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

Fortunately, the font for the settings now changes when appearance settings are changed (new since 1.45.* or so)

I found where you can change fonts in Linux; it’s in a config file at ~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf; the offending font (in my opinion) is Linux Biolinium; it may be fine for some things, but it bugged me to no end as the font shown for tab titles and in the address bar. Solved!
