Yea I know but you have to download the model offline with ollama. I’m talking about integrating R1 and access online like claude and llama.
No you don’t. Seriously, read things and try to check it out for yourself. It gets frustrating when people just quickly skim or make assumptions rather than seeing the full instructions in answers given.
Like in the article I showed you, they talk about Ollama in the first part, but then on the bottom it says things like below. In the example they share about ChatGPT, but a person can plug in anything as long as they know the endpoint and API, which you would have to get from the model itself. Key idea is they say you can use remote models.
Notice how it asks for API key and all? That’s for online ones rather than locally hosted. So if DeepSeek has an API, you use it there.
If you’re speaking about having it as default, it’s probably not going to happen. Partially because Brave would have to pay for it, but also because of all the politics going on.
