YouTube shorts blacking out screen, needing to unlock the phone again

Downloaded brave yesterday and Love it. Only issue am running into atm is while watching YouTube shorts ( while being logged in) after the short is watched for 60-70% the screen goes black, therefore the video keeps playing in the background but locking my phone. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Am using an iPhone 13 Pro iOS 18.3 and brave on the latest update

Your issue reminds me of the following issue worth some study:

Youtube wont render any video past 59 seconds

Occured for visitors who are logged in at youtube.com AND NOT using Brave Browser’s Private Browsing Only mode.

Some fixes included NOT blocking Google sources of javascrpts, such as:

  • googleapis.com
  • jnn-pa.googleapis.com
