YouTube Screen tearing Issues

When using brave and watching You tube i get consistent screen tearing with Hardware acceleration off but with it on i don’t get screen tearing but performance issues while using the dedicated GPU in other tasks is annoying, Vsync is on for global and for Brave.exe when i use another browser like edge i don’t get screen tearing. My GPU is a RTX 3060 3840sp and CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800 Operating software is Win11 home 23H2

Turning off HW acceleration will cause more tearing issue. Causes more work for the CPU. Unless you have buggy GPU or GPU drivers, always keep enabled.

all my divers are up to date this browser is dogshit id a 16 threaded cpu 4.7ghz isn’t enough other browsers don’t have this issue why is brave different its still chromium

Also on a 16 core CPU (5950x), works well here. Changing any default settings like HW accerlation will alter the performace. Just keep the default settings

Dosent solve my issue of the persistent performance issues with HWA on and off with screen tearing making the browser borderline unsuable, something is wrong within the browser as 3d application settings in Nvidia control pannel only apply to applications using the gpu such as HWA which isnt an option due to poor performance with HWA

Hi,
Is this what is now called
“Use graphics acceleration when available”
There used to be a Hardware Acceleration line which seems to have disappeared however I have had mine switched off for several years as this used to be advised - what has changed?
Thanks
