As of today, the AdBlock component of Brave does not work on YouTube anymore.

Posting for visibility.

Doesn’t work for me either right now.
Updated AdBlock lists, cleared cookies and so on.
Dunno what else to do.

Do you guys have a fix for when it’s only account based because the adblock works on alts or when I’m not logged in it’s just for my main account that youtube is able to detect it.

i guess we need to wait for an update. whenever that will be.

Hey I had the same issue, I deleted browsing data, restarted Brave ad blocks working again. Click 3 bars top right → click delete browsing data → all 3 checkboxes ticked

Why is Youtube’s Ceo or team so bad now? money and only money

please update when solved.

This new round appears to be account related, I use Brave with uBO and was unable to view anything, tried updates etc all the usual steps but still nothing, I then logged out and refreshed a video and hey presto it played. The only thing that changed was I logged out.

Yup, Youtube has started the warning dialog boxes (6/5 14:30CT) telling me to turn off my ad blocker again. Still able to watch but sure they will block me soon.

As soon as I have an update on the fix I’ll share here. Thanks for your patience.

thanks, steeven. We appreciate you.

Hopefully you can try and make it get past the “Account Related” issue thing

Thu 6-5-25 6:24 PM EDT, they (the Brave folks) fixed the the problem. I went to a youtube tab and refreshed it and got the video without the black terms violation screen. Just refresh each tab

Looks like a fix is in. Clicked on half a dozen videos and blocking is working again. Thank you once again team Brave… I love this browser!

Try the steps that Saoiray suggested here:

Scroll about 1/3 of the way down. I did everything he said and that did the trick for me. Not sure which step/steps in particular did it, but it’s working fine again for me now.

Apologies for the delay, the fix was released last night.
