YouTube issue in mobile version

Dear all,
since few hours ago I’m facing with some issues using mobile version of youtube site on Brave.

Seems google blocks youtube videos if I use the mobile version. It blocks also the load of videos in the home page.

If I switch to the desktop version everything works fine.

I tried and got the same problem on my phone and tablet (using last version of brave from play store).

UPDATE_1: 17/05 now everything works properly

Same issue here. It all started today, it’s loading on main page 3 videos and that’s it. I’ve noticed yesterday, that voice of video was stoping after few minutes. Hope Brave heroes will fix that.

I’m experiencing the same issue on my iPhone. It seems to be happening across both the Firefox app and Safari browser—videos on my ‘For You’ page just never load

I’ve had the same issue too. Usually I could solve it by refreshing the page or switching tabs, but it’s persisting.
I even tried restarting my phone and nothing, no change. Let’s hope it gets fixed soon…

Is it for android only or also ios?

Same problem. Subscriptions page only loads a handful of videos, refuses to load more. Problem started today. Rebooted phone, no effect. Mobile youtube page. Ios.

Android here…main YouTube page loads 5 videos and then it’s just the spinning circle of doom.

This appears to be an upstream issue with Chromium. Seeing the same behavior in Chrome and other mobile browsers.

Temp solution, switch to desktop mode in Brave mobile.

Welp I guess this is happening with more than just me. Good to see others have already reached out! Hoping for a solution. Kind of annoying and strange how it happened without an update beforehand or anything.

I did some other research and this has happened before, but I tried all the solutions I could with no change. (Cleared browser history and cache, logged out and back into YouTube, restarted phone, even messed with some Brave shield settings with no luck.)

Interestingly, that does work. Thanks for the fix, although temporary :grinning_face:

I’m having the same issue on android mobile. I updated my brave app, switched from home WiFi to mobile internet, reset my phone and the issue is still ongoing. The only method I’ve found to use the site is to switch to the desktop version, which is annoying cuz of the tiny icons but at least more usable in the meantime.

Another workaround for the meantime:

Open the YT app (the video list doesn’t seem to have any issues there).

Add the videos you want to watch to your ‘watch later’ list.

Open YT in brave, the ‘watch later’ list seems to list all vids you’ve added without the circle of death.

Not sure about everyone else but the issue seems to be resolved for me. I literally did nothing and just let time pass and now everything works as usual.

Same for me. After refreshing the page, works as before.

Yeah, seems fixed now. Maybe they listened to my tweet? who knows.
