This has being going on since the release of groups in tab on mobile. I’ve had 2 android phones and it persists. Basically, the tab overrides the video after going fullscreen. It only disappears after going vertical and back. Open multiple tabs for youtube videos in the same group and go full-screen horizontal on android to reproduce.
This is the only pet peeve of mine. It feels like a feature after all these years. Maybe no one has noticed it yet.
