YouTube feeds not functioning correctly

There’s an issue on Youtube.com where I can scroll for a little and then it stops putting out recommendations whatsoever.

Happens on everything from search to viewing channels to the front damned page.

Also, this is quite clearly not your guys’ fault - I’m not trying to blame the devs here, just trying to give yall a heads-up again that YT is being pissy about you guys having the best damn adblocker I’ve ever seen and is forcing them to spend precious and money whining your chadlike measures - but the YouTube app works perfectly fine in that regard.

Again, just a heads-up that YouTube.com isn’t working correctly on here. I know for a fact that they’re just throwing temper tantrums in their hq over you guys being awesome and doing your consumers a favor with this browser. YT fell off hard after Susan stepped down and then kicked the bucket; and that’s considering that it was already kind of a dumpster fire when she was in charge.

Thanks for your time,
deepfried_kiwis

Do you use the Brave Shields?
Try turning off the shields and use uBO instead. Does the issue still persist?

i do in fact use brave shields and i actually refuse to turn them off to visit certain sites. i’ve actually stopped using several sites because they won’t let me in with an adblocker on. my youtube feed seems to be functioning correctly now.

thank you for the tip, though, friend. have a pleasant evening

@deepfried_kiwis what websites are you saying won’t let you in with an adblocker? Generally is good to report on that.

Also want to make sure to point out that when you have issues like you initially reported, it’s good to make sure you share which OS (like Windows 10 or 11, macOS 15, etc), which specific version of Brave you’re using (like 1.23.45), etc.

For Shields it’s also good to report if you can update components at brave://components, if the issue also happens in private window, whether you’re using extensions, and if you’re using any custom filters or anything.

Anyway, lot of that for future reference. Am glad to hear you say seems to be working properly now.
