Hello I know I am currently new here but I would like to report to anyone reading this who is also part of the staff that Google as we speak is attacking Brave adblocker right this second! I think there needs to be an update on the browser because I am noticing ads when I watch YouTube! I am not turning off my adblocker as a shield of defense against malicious and deceptive source code if anyone else is experiencing this please tell me I am not losing my mind. I have everything maxed out as possible and YouTube is still trying to attack the adblocker is it possible to reach out to the team that can you guys please update your adblocker if possible? If anyone else is seeing the same thing happen please let me know Brave is our last line of defense against data mining if I am not losing my mind please let me know thanks!
Not sure whether it is technically possible to still block Ads on YouTube after Google upgraded their AdBlock detector, but yeah it is no longer possible to watch YouTube with Brave AdBlocker enabled because YouTube shows AdBlock error message and refuses to play the video
This is incorrect. I’m watching Youtube right now in Brave with no ads.
If you’re both seeing this, can you please go to brave://components and confirm that the Brave ad block updater is fully up to date?
Yes, it shows “Status - Up-to-date”
The problem might have to do with the fact that YouTube lets the user watch about three or five videos with AdBlock enabled before it blocks itself, so the developer will not notice the bug unless they watch several videos
Im still getting popups even after everything is updated. but the videos are playing once i close the popup.

Try clear cookies and cache for youtube, then re-login. Looking at the reports, no increase in antiadblock from youtube.

I know from uBO team in general they mentioned rolling out fixes after decent number of reports. Overall assuming whatever filters they work on should be reflected over on Shields as well, right? Not sure what they saw or changed.
But I am indeed seeing people throughout Reddit and some of the more recent posts here showing as if there was an increase in it.
There was an increase in reports, and a fix went out in 1.0.12467 (or better)

It’s not incorrect. It just hasn’t happened to you yet. I just started getting message today from youtube saying they’re detecting I’m using an ad blocker.
