YouTube.com forcibly self-enabling video previews function

Hello again,

I’ve run into a different issue with Youtube’s browser version. Last time it was my feed not properly loading (which is a largely irrelevant bug; prior to my first post on here and as of now if it happens I can just reload the site and it works fine again). Now, as one can probably guess from the title, the “video previews” function - which allows videos to play as one is browsing YouTube - has been forcefully re-enabling itself for the last day or two. I typically keep it turned off - simply a preference due to no particular reason.

It’s a largely minor bug but at the same time it is a bit mildly infuriating to see it keep doing that. It isn’t even consistent when it turns itself back on, either.

Thank you for your time,

I am having this problem as well. I disable YouTube video previews and seemingly at random it enables it automatically. I would like them to stay “off” as I don’t necessarily like the function. It would happen after a day has gone by, the browser has been closed and I reopen it and open a new YouTube tab, if my mobile data or internet has disconnected and reconnected, or just at random. Often I suppose it’s when a new YouTube tab is opened, but this isn’t consistent either.

I am on IOS, mobile browser.
