Tried creating a new profile as well as reseting Brave, with the same result.
Brave is no longer blocking any ads on any website. This isn’t limited to Youtube

This got so bad, that I decided to simply re-install Brave. It worked and all is restored to how it should be.

This particular round of the eternal struggle (YouTube ad blocker arms race) was won by Brave with the last major update. But it will come up again.

Ensure shields is up and not changed, but clearing cookies/cache for YT. Then re-login Will sort out most YT ads issues.
