I have seen some posts that touch something similar but nothing like my problem. My payment is not being processed, although the February date for that has passed. To see if there was an easy fix I turned payments off, restarted brave and in a second attempt my entire PC, and turned it on again. This is when the following message appears:
Now, not only can this be reproduced time and again without any payment being processed (I waited 2 days from running into this issue to posting it here), it also displays a wrong number for BAT.
