Wrong character set on "Save as..." dialog

Description of the issue:
The “Save as…” dialog show uninteligible words instead of the names of the files and folders on my computer. The text on the “Cancel” and “Save” buttons shows the same behaviour. It seems like it is using the wrong character set.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Right click on any web page
  2. Select “Save as…” option (“Guardar como…” in Spanish)
  3. The dialog shows but there are little rectangles instead of the characters

Expected result:
I should see the names of files and folders on my computer.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Versión 1.17.75 Chromium: 87.0.4280.88 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

Additional Information:
Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS (64 bits) , Gnome 3.36.3, X11
Regional settings: Spanish (Spain)

That seems very similar to https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/13064.

How did you install Brave? Did you follow the official instructions at https://brave.com/linux/#debian-9-ubuntu-1404-and-mint-17 or did you install the Snap?

Secondly, if you start brave in English, do you have the same issue? Here’s how to do that from a terminal:

LANG=C brave-browser

Thank you for your response. FYI, I installed the snap, and starting from a terminal as you said didn’t solve the issue.

Anyway, it is fixed in the version I’m running now: Versión 1.18.70 Chromium: 87.0.4280.101 (Build oficial) (64 bits)
