Why is there no way to include a shortcut when adding a new search engine for Brave on iOS?

While Brave on MacOS allows entering a shortcut (eg p for Perplexity) when adding a new search engine, I dont see a similar option when adding a new search engine for Brave on iOS.

What is that so? bug? feature? constraint from chromium for ios?

I do see a selector for different engines when searching though!

This exact same drawback for Chrome on iOS is what made me try Brave because I dont expect Chrome to make it easy to switch search engines.
