Why is brave.exe accessing http://www.fehrsam.xyz?

Description of the issue: - Why is brave browser want to access this particular website http://www.fehrsam.xyz? My antivirus blocked that request because of the suspicious activity of the website.
Is my brave browser infected?
How can this issue be reproduced? - I don’t know. Maybe in the browser code somewhere there will be few lines reproducing this behavior.

Expected result: - This kind of behavior, browser accessing to suspicious website should not happen.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.17.73 Chromium: 87.0.4280.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Can you elaborate a bit on this? At what point is brave trying to access this site?

Unless its an extension (or a program using the brave) trying to access this site, no reason for Brave to access this site @blackshadow

@fanboynz I have 0 extensions installed. For the programs, I didn’t install any application in recent days or months for the fact.
@Mattches I don’t know. The other day during browsing internet, out of nowhere I get a notification that my antivirus blocked a threat and when I opened that notification, I found this. So this behavior happened just suddenly.

Okay, but it’s not as if the browser is constantly sending requests to that site, it just made the request at one point while browsing. This means it’s more likely that a site you were on made such a connection.

This can be the reason. But isn’t browser should block this type of behavior by default. Like some site wants to open another site using the browser.
