Description:
The previous version worked OK. Required update is not working well. Pages either don’t load, or load very slowly, or evidently send wrong into to a web-server, or at times just act weirdly.
Steps: Heck, OK there are many site that load OK on one day but not the next. Here’s one that was giving me trouble today. I am a paid subscriber. My login is valid (I am not showing it here. But today as it just messed up, showing the wrong thins, and at other times just hanging or assuming I was not logged in. I switched to Thorium and the site worked perfectly.
On another site, even though each of my screens is 1920x1080, it was telling the server that my screen was under 1200 wide, and the server sent me to a page for Tablets. The next day, it worked fine. This code seems unstable. Once again, Firefox, Chrome, and Thorium did not have these problems.
Expected results: I expect a browser to be stable. This release v1.75.178 is not. It could be because adding this version without previously removing the prior one (your code had announced it could not automatically update and I would have to reinstall) may have caused this problem. But your new code did nt see the old code and update manually. It left the older install in place. Sure I could have removed the old code first… but I’ll be damned if I have to wipe out the references to all the settings just to update code. It’s not just passwords and bookmarks but all the choices I made in settings and extensions I needed to add back. I needed a reference.
Anyway, that’s the reason I am ditching Brave on my desktop.
