Why brave ads are not coming as before

@g00z

Also related to why ads might not show as before . . .

Looking over ‘Common Reasons for not seeing Ads’ . . .

That table you referenced (egs.: User were running multiple browsers with the same wallet) has issues in common with the:

What will get your Brave Rewards profile (user account) flagged . . . table:

  • Users wallets were marked as fraudulent
  • User is on a VPN
  • User exceeded the frequency caps for their region
  • User were [*was*] running multiple browsers with the same wallet
  • User manually modified browser state files
  • Users manually backup (copy/paste) and restore their user profiles to new computers (restoration fails as we could not decrypt the wallet as each instance of the wallet has its own decryption key)

(NOTE, there, ‘each instance of the wallet has its own decryption key’)

More info, re ‘Why are accounts flagged’ - the PSA by @Saoiray:

I mention all that, because for some Brave Rewards users, there is no clear indication of their Brave Rewards profile (user account) being flagged.

I wondered about that lack of clarity, in a recent question for @Chocoholic:

There, I asked: Why is there no clear indicator that a Brave Rewards profile (user account) has been flagged . . . at one or both of:

  • brave://settings/rewards
  • brave://rewards-internals

And so, the ‘Brave Rewards’ user might consider a significant decline of ads, to be un-expected behavior.
