I just installed Brave on a laptop running Windows 8.1 64-bit. The browser works great. But when installing there was no prompt to create a shortcut on the desktop. When I search for the Brave application after selecting Window > Search (Everywhere) and entering the text Brave, the program doesn’t appear.
The Brave build that I installed is as follows:
Update Channel: dev
OS Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS Release: 6.3.9600
OS Architecture: x64
No “Brave” folder appears under these directories. In one of these folders I expect to see a sub-directory named “Brave” or “Brave Software”.
C:\Program Files (x86)
Now, I’ve still got the install executable in one of my directories where I downloaded the program. But I can’t locate where on this PC the program was installed so I can drag the Brave Shortcut icon to my desktop. Normally after every program install in Windows there is a shortcut to the application somewhere. I haven’t yet rebooted since installing Brave. Or maybe I’m just looking in the wrong place.
Thanks for your help.
