When saving a password for: www.citibank.com the character (a) only, is saved in Brave browser’s password holder. All my other site passwords work and are saved fine when using Brave’s password manager My password for Citibank is (12) characters long.

I have a Apple iMac mid 2011 computer, 32 meg memory, most current operating system macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.2 . All other browsers used, save passwords properly.

Hi eljuno, Thank you for getting back to me. Safari is Ver. 11.0.3 (13604.5.6). macOS High Sierra ver. 10.13.3 with the latest security update. When trying to open my Citibank acct. Lyons1 appears and the password is only a single *

Santander bank doesn’t show a user name but, it does show a passord.

https://www.trulia.com doesn’t show a user name but, does show a password.

https://www.tumblr.com doesn’t show a user name but, does show a password.

https://www.utcpaymybill.com doesn’t show a user name but, does show a password

I hope this helps you to resolve the problem I am having

Yours truly,

Looping in @LaurenWags and @sriram for additional help.

@daniel.a.gross While entering the password do you use the virtual keyboard or do you manually type in the password?

#8

I don’t have a virtual keyboard. I either manually type in the user name and password or I copy and paste both.

#9

A lot of the sites I frequent, the user name or the password is auto posted. Sometomes both are posted automatically.

#10

Are you running the latest version of Brave? The autofill feature was removed and autosuggest feature was introduced quite recently. Please update the browser to the latest version and check once if the issue is resolved.

Could you try the following

  1. Open about:passwords and delete the entry for Citibank
  2. Login to Citibank by typing the user name and password
  3. Click Allow in the notification to save password
  4. Open about:passwords and click the clipboard icon to copy the password and paste it on editor to see if the password is saved correctly
