When Pinning tabs, Brave will crash or reload all sites or close other pinned tabs

#1

Just FYI. I can give you logs if I know where they are for troubleshooting purposes. And it doesn’t crash all the time, but it does crash more often then not.

#2

Yes. Same here. Every pin causes full crash. Upon re-starting Brave, the thumbnails are blank for pinned tabs and need reloading.

I’ve been dealing with this issue as well for the past 2 update versions.
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open new tab**
  2. Navigate to any site
  3. Pin tab

**Actual Result:**Brave crashes without any warning.
**Expected result:**Tab is pinned in the rightmost position

Reproduces how often: Every time a new tab is pinned

"Hey, Brave! What happened to my topic?!"

I’m glad you asked, dear user!

In an effort to better organize and track relevant issues I will be closing several topics (like this one) where
the subject matter has either been resolved or depreciated with newer updates to the browser.

If I have closed a topic concerning an issue you are still experiencing or feel is not yet adequately resolved, you’re more than welcome to reopen the issue in a new topic or message me directly if you feel strongly that the topic should remain open.

Thank you
