When making Twitch clips, audio is muted and can't unmute

Description of the issue: When on Twitch.com and watching a broadcast, clicking the clip button brings you to a new page where you can make your clip, but it will be muted. Sound is often important to clips so this should be corrected.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to Twitch.com (you’ll need an account)
  2. Go to a live broadcast channel
  3. Click the clip button and you’ll be taken to a new page where a clip is there to edit and publish, but you won’t have any sound.

Expected result: When making a clip, there should be audio. The video window even has a volume meter, but it’ll be turned all the way up and it’ll be ‘muted.’

Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.63.169

Additional Information: This started maybe a month ago. I don’t have any extensions that affect volume.

i noticed this where the main live player act as the audio tab for clip tab, if i mute the live it mutes clip tab too

They’re aware of the issue across both Windows & MacOS. Indeed, this has been a recurring issue for years, but there finally seems to be a more concerted effort to resolve it. Check out the other threads regarding audio linking across tabs affecting the ability to independently mute them.
