What type of files are Brave bookmarks as saved as?

What type of files are Brave bookmarks as saved as on a windows 8 machine? I need to retrieve them from my defunct computer.

When you use Bookmarks Manager, and Export Bookmarks – that creates a file

Bookmarks.html

plus what @289wk said the bookmarks file is a text file so you can open with any text editor like notepad in windows
