What happens to BAT that are on previously on browsers that are no longer accessible?

As per title, what happens to the following scenarios?

  1. BAT claimed from viewing ads that are gone after a reinstall/reformat and the user lost the backup code.
  2. BAT unclaimed from viewing ads that are gone after a reinstall/reformat and the user lost the backup code.

I am curious what happens to them. I am sure there are a number of such cases. Are they lost forever? or Brave has some way to recollect them?

There is no way to recover them because even if you have the back of the brave wallet, it is still horror to recover the balance you had. so forget about the balance that is lost.

What @changuino said and well.

BAT on your local wallet is just virtual, is not converted to BAT until you:

  • Tip creators
  • Or is credited to uphold.

So, if you had BAT and you go to the thread scenarios, that BAT just will never be turn into real BAT.
