I’m picturing a page (located in a Brave menu) where one could find every single data linked to him/her that is present on the internet. That is to say, every cookies, pictures, articles or so, related to the person, would be in a visual bubble.
People would be capable of deleting any disturbing data, select the data they want to be in their ad profile, to get even more precise ads, even getting alert when any company or website is using our data, or just being aware of what site is using which data.
Why this feature ?
- as far as I know, no other browser is proposing this kind of feature (visual access to any self-related data) → way to attract and fidelize users (as they won’t leave Brave once they have a good bubble here)
- it’s in the brave logic, to take back control of our internet data
- personally, I have no idea what data are used by who, when is it used, and where to find these (don’t even know if that exist)
At first, maybe start with a new empty bubble for a new brave user (without his previous data), the bubble would thus display only the data “made” on brave. And in mid-term, maybe having an option to import data from other browser to populate the bubble and take control back on all the data.
To go even further, every data would be hosted on the blockchain, so that the tracking would be very efficient and we would actually remain owner of our data (maybe all these data could be related to the brave wallet of the user, to get a unique owner id ?).
It’sa little ambitious, but looking forward to know your position on this topic
