Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off?
Kind of.
gear4music plays no sound if ad blocking is off.
FlameComics has the stupid online radio thing regardless, but usually doesn’t actually play any sound when I visit with ad blocking off. And also should note once the radio starts playing, it will continue even after closing the tab. You have to exit Brave entirely to get it to stop.
Does the ad appear when using a Private window as well? (yes/no)

Also should note FlameComics will show a cookie notice even with Fanboy's Annoyance + uBO Annoyances and/or EasyList Cookie active. You’ll find their entire site is actually ultra annoying so I tend to avoid, but yeah…
@fanboynz just pulled out my old Galaxy S9 that’s on Android 10 and Brave 1.75.178. Neither of them played sounds when I visited on it. So that aspect does seem to be iOS only.
However, FlameComics did show cookie notice when visiting and still had pop-ups when I touched on the screen. Like I went to hit the Okay for cookie notice to get rid of it and this retrosowenian.shop thing popped up as you can see. I closed it and went to go to the home screen, at which these other two pages resulted.
When I looked earlier update to 1.75.180 wasn’t available but it’s suddenly showing up. So I’m doing that update. Back when you asked if it happened on Android, I already had done components updates and all with no improvement.
After upgrade to 1.75.180 went back to components but no update available.
Cookie policy notice still appeared after I cleared cookies.
Pop-up didn’t occur on main page but as I navigated to chapter, it got hit with one. Appears when you go to tap anything on screen.
Mine is showing 1.0.10752 but also says it’s up-to-date and not giving any updates when I try to check for update. Guessing just going to take a little bit for it to land for me to see and test.
