Issue: Website Re-Verification Always Required on Financial Websites Using Brave But Not When Using Other Browsers (Eg, Edge)
How Can This be Reproduced? Go to nearly any bank and attempt to login
Brave does not work as well with many banks and financial institutions as Chrome and Edge in that I have to re-verify nearly every time I go to one of these sites when I use Brave, but I do not when I use the other browsers.
I mark “Is this a trusted device? Yes” every time, but it doesn’t matter. Five minutes later (if I have closed my Brave browser), I have to re-verify when I log into my bank account if I use Brave.
Expected result:
Work like other mainstream browsers.

@doneil24 if it’s only things like banks where you have an issue, a lot of time it comes down to things like VPN or Shields (or other adblockers). Especially if you’re saying the behavior doesn’t happen in other browsers.
Keep in mind that Shields randomizes your fingerprint, which can make it seem like you’re on a different device. Some security minded websites, such as banks, will void cookies because of it. If that’s the issue, then you may need to change your Shields settings on their websites or may need to disable Shields completely.
In the same manner, having anything like a VPN or proxy can yield the same, as they are seeing the difference and wouldn’t be sure if it is you.
NOTE
The fingerprint randomization happens between browser sessions. So if you are completely closing out of Brave, that would mean small differences could be seen then.
But also important would be for you to double check settings like if you have Forget me when I close this site
enabled or even if you have done anything to brave://settings/content/siteData
which might play a part…like the setting for Always delete site data from your device when you close Brave
