I tried to visit https://www.gsmarena.com/, strangely, brave stopped it from loading and told me that the connection is insecure. I then visited it on opera, Firefox, Chrome and nothing happened, the websites loaded just fine. Can anybody explain why?

If a webpage such as you described:
includes one or more HTTP links, Brave Browser might balk.
How (and if) Brave Browser might balk, may depend upon some Brave Browser Settings . . . and possibly some Brave Shields settings.
Requires study of all that.
