Description of the issue: On webpages like MS Outlook and Google Calendars, web elements (e.g., emails in inbox) disappear frequently until mouse-over.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Open MS Outlook webpage, log into inbox
Move mouse to right-hand side of page. Emails in inbox on left-hand side often disappear from view until mouse-over
Expected result: No disappearance of web elements
Brave Version: Version 1.60.125 Chromium: 119.0.6045.199 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Additional Information: Similar issues occur on the Google Calendars webpage. This began happening after a recent update (I’m not sure which, I assumed that future updates would quickly resolve the issue). This issue occurs with or without the brave shield on.
I had the same issue in March and April this year. It went away for a while when I started using a new profile, and things were fine for a while with my existing profiles when I copied them over to Brave Beta, but eventually with both solutions things started to degrade again. I recreated my profiles in Brave Stable by copying my settings and data from Brave Beta, and again it was ok for a while but then went bad. I also saw it happen in Chrome, but I don’t use that very often so can’t say to what extent it was affected.
On one occasion an OS upgrade fixed the problem (again, only temporarily). That was while I was on Fedora workstation. I am now on Fedora Silverblue and everything has been stable.
Having the same issue on a variety of websites. YouTube, banking website. Typically seems to happen on sites with more elaborate styling/coding going on. This started happening a month or two ago I believe and it’s inconsistent but mostly happens on youtube.
I have been experiencing this issue since December as well - particulary on outlook.com webmail application where it is a persistent issue. Shields are disabled on this site.
Brave desktop v1.61.114 on macos.
Issues started with macos 13.x and continued with macos 14.x upgrade. “Reset” of settings does not solve the problem.
Only thing i can say for sure, is that support is either none the wiser or they just don’t care, because they haven’t replied to a single post regarding this issue. Which is strange.
This issue is absolutely annoying, actually considering switching browsers.
