WebM controls Not Appearing

Description of the issue: Some sites with embedded webms/mp4s do not show controls after the latest update.
How can this issue be reproduced?

Unknown issue – Some sites have lost WebM controls, even when enabling “Show All Controls” in the context menu.

Before the last browser update, WebM controls would always appear on hover. Iin the latest version, WebM controls no longer display on a private Szurubooru instance (screenshot above), despite no site changes.

Other sites, like this one here: https://funnyjunk.com/Blue/qqcbTdd/ , now default to having “Show All Controls” turned off and will work as expected when turned on.

For both sites, opening the video in a new tab will show the controls as expected.

Expected result: All webms have controls.

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.75.175 Chromium: 133.0.6943.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
Not seeing this behavior on the latest Chrome build.

Can you share some sites where this issue is confirmed to occur? The links you shared both work for me with respect to seeing the player controls. Can you share an example link where the issue can be consistently reproduced?

I’m not able to share the primary site that I’m having an issue with due to it being on my intranet - I’ll search for another.

Update - it looks like the controls are indeed there, just not visible.

Yeah I don’t see the controls for this particular video either. Unclear if it’s site specific or not. Going go rope a colleague in on this and hope to have more information for you soon.
