WebGl crash constantly

after today’s update, 03/09/2023, WEBgl is constantly crashing, is there any solution?
I use Brave all day, and there are a lot of sites that just don’t work without it.

-yes, the video driver is already on the latest update

-Yes, I have already restarted the machine

  • yes, my computer is more than capable of running the browser perfectly

-Yes, I already got to “brave://gpu” and everything is enabled and working

and if I disable “hardware acceleration” all the videos freeze, EVERYONE!

and I only have this problem in this browser

Hello @Bartandelus, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Can you try disabling the following setting: brave://flags > Search 'Vulkan' > Disable Vulkan > Retest

However, if you are experiencing a specific crash please go to brave://crashes:

  • if you have automatic crash reporting is enabled (Settings --> Privacy/Security --> Automatically send diagnostic reports), please respond back here with the crash report ID
  • If Automatically send diagnostic reports is not enabled, ensure you click Send on these crash reports listed on the page, then reply here with the crash report ID

Thank you.

well I tried everything and nothing worked
problem is in the browser itself
unfortunately I already abandoned it, and went to firefox.
because now, even videos are crashing, and consuming high vRAM of the video card

Hello again @Bartandelus, how many extensions do you have? Does the same happen in a private window? Have you tried clearing cookies and cache recently? Let us know so we can further investigate. Thanks in advance.

Hello @Bartandelus

Is this still an issue for you?

Be waiting for your response!

I am having the same issue on Brave. This is easy to reproduce:

Those work fine on Chrome, but on Brave, it shows It does not appear your computer supports WebGL.

Same problem in private windows.

WebGL was working fine on Brave previously, I think about a month ago. So this problem seems pretty recent.

Update:

Hi there,
actually, this seems to have worked after restart.
