Description of the issue:
Within the last 2 Brave updates, I am having YouTube and Twitch video playback stuttering on my second monitor when my main monitoring is playing a game in borderless windowed mode. This happens immediately on Minecraft Dungeons and Vermintide 2. Of note:
- Began sometime last week ~6/24/2021
- The stuttering is continuous until I close the program or switch out of borderless window
- The stuttering is significant and makes the video unwatchable
- The video playback stuttering stops immediately upon switching to Full Screen or Window
- Stuttering happens with Brave video acceleration On and Off
- The audio playback is uninterrupted
- The video playback for both Twitch and YouTube does not stutter on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge … it is just in Brave that the video playback stuttering is happening
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Run Minecraft Dungeons in borderless window on main display
- Start a Twitch stream on second display
- Alt tab back to Minecraft Dungeons
- Watch video begin to stutter within 0 - 5 seconds and remain doing so
Expected result:
No stuttering
