Whenever I try to stream videos from any site or just watching in general and go out of focus to another fullscreen application the video playback becomes black but the video still plays because the audio continues. This happened just randomly I’m not sure if modified any settings
Watch any video in any site
Tab out or hover out the browser window to another fullscreen application
Video becomes black
(Sidenote: this also does not happen only in videos, also some websites that are still trying to load, something maybe to do with rendering issue while not in focus)
Already tried disabling hardware acceleration on and off and still the same issue. Tried disabling fullscreen optimizations for brave thinking it would fix it but to no avail too.
Windows 11 24H2
Brave: Version 1.78.102 Chromium: 136.0.7103.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)
To clarify, are you saying that the video becomes and stays black? On my end, I do see this behavior initially, but as soon as I return to the tab playing video content, everything works fine:
I cannot see the video you have provided but no, it doesn’t stay black when I return to the tab playing the video as you can see in the GIF that when I try to hover the window tab that has the video, it is black when I am focused in another fullscreen app. This is a concern because when I try to stream youtube video or any other in discord for example the video wont be shown because it is black because I am focused in discord fullscreen. The workaround I have for this right now when I have to stream is not entering discord in fullscreen while streaming, in that way I can still interact.
I am not sure if this is a brave issue or maybe a windows issue I am not aware of, Sorry for bad English.
